Coach Jim Schwartz declined to provide a timetable Wednesday for Titus Young to be allowed back at Lions Park.
"I addressed that a couple of days ago," Schwartz said. "That's the most I'm going to address it. When there is a change, I will address it again." Young is banned from club headquarters for fighting teammate Louis Delmas, but there are no indications that the incident will threaten his regular season play time.

Via their official website, the Lions insist WR Titus Young's OTA absence is "not the result of any punitive action by the team."
All the smoke suggested Young was ordered to stay away from this week's "voluntary" workouts, but DetroitLions.com's Tim Twentyman insists it's unknown why Young isn't attending. "That’s an answer Young will have to provide when he eventually joins his teammates." Via Twentyman, the Lions have acknowledged Young had an "incident" with teammate Louis Delmas last week. It would, of course, be worse if Young was staying away from the team on his own volition.

Citing "multiple league sources," Lions.com insists WR Titus Young is "is not on any type of team suspension."
The "league sources" are presumably beat writer Tim Twentyman's bosses. The website provides no explanation for Young's Monday absence from OTAs. The Detroit News reports Young was the only Lions wideout not invited to watch Calvin Johnson throw out the first pitch at last Friday's Tigers game. When asked why Young wasn't in attendance, Johnson responded "we can't talk about that." Young is very much suspended, even if it's in an unofficial capacity.

MLive.com reports Titus Young has been barred from Lions OTAs after getting into a fight with FS Louis Delmas last week.
Uh-oh. Per beat writer Anwar Richardson, Young is not allowed back at Lions Park "until the team decides to have him back." Young flashed promise as a rookie deep threat, but continually struggled with bouts of immaturity and mental errors. In theory, Young should be given every opportunity to push Nate Burleson for the Lions' No. 2 job, but starting the year in the doghouse isn't going to help. Delmas is being allowed to attend OTAs, suggesting the altercation was entirely of Young's creation.

Jahvid Best (concussions) was a full participant at Lions OTA practice Monday.
Best worked with the first-team offense and was not limited in the no-contact practice. Mikel Leshoure (Achilles') also participated on a limited basis, before admitting he's not yet 100 percent. Best will be a dicey 2012 fantasy pick, but we like him as a high-end RB3. He projects as a 12-15 touch-per-game back.

The Detroit News expects Mikel Leshoure to eventually draw a two-game suspension for his twin offseason marijuana arrests.
Leshoure has enrolled in the NFL's substance abuse program, and is being tested "several times" a week. Still rehabbing his torn Achilles', Leshoure insisted he is "feeling great" at Lions OTAs. "I don't know what percentage it's at or anything because I haven't really pushed it to the limit yet," he said. "There's plenty of time for that. ... But I will be ready to roll by the season."

Second-round WR Ryan Broyles (ACL surgery) is not participating in team drills at Lions OTAs.
"I am just doing as much as I can," Broyles said. "(Monday) was my first day of practice. I am about half-speed but I feel good." Coach Jim Schwartz said Broyles is on a good pace in his rehab. "Everything he does is part of a very structured progression," Schwartz said. "We will start increasing his workload based on how his body feels. He's having a very good rehab. He's doing well."
