Carson Palmer believes Denarius Moore is capable of becoming a more "complete player" in his second season.
Palmer is already a huge fan of Moore's game, and believes the sky is the limit. "He’s so explosive and can do so many things down the field, but for him to take that next step he needs to get more balls that aren’t deep balls or big posts down the field for touchdowns," Palmer said. "He needs to catch slants and curls and digs and things like that. And the way things are lined up he’s the guy. He’s our 'X' receiver and I’m excited for him."

According to Pro Football Focus, no NFL player was targeted deeper downfield than Denarius Moore in 2011.
Pro Football Focus charts the depth of each NFL pass target. The result is "average depth of target" or "aDOT" for short. In 2011, Moore's normalized aDOT (removes the impact of the quarterback) was 18.7, which paced the entire NFL. The explosive Moore will continue to be utilized as a deep threat as the team's projected starting flanker in 2012. He should be on your radar as a WR3.

Carson Palmer reiterated in a Friday interview that he thinks Denarius Moore is "going to be a star" in the NFL.
Palmer also said in early March that Moore was a player he "could not be more excited about" entering the 2012 season. Keep in mind Moore essentially had no offseason in 2011 due to the lockout. He exploded immediately onto the scene in training camp, however, and finished the regular season as the Raiders' leader in receiving touchdowns (five) and yards-per-catch average (18.7).

Carson Palmer singled out Denarius Moore as one player "I could not be more excited about" for the upcoming season.
"What he did as a rookie, and he missed a handful of games, was amazing," said Palmer. "Not statistically or the numbers, but the big plays that he made in big games. Momentum-changing, game-winning plays." Moore will likely battle late-season breakout star Darrius Heyward-Bey for No. 1 receiver duties in 2012, with Jacoby Ford playing in the slot and on returns.
