According to the Contra Costa Times, Terrelle Pryor's passes are still "too wobbly and off the mark" to be considered a legitimate threat for the Raiders' starting quarterback job.
Last preseason, we were taken aback a bit by Pryor's woeful accuracy and poor velocity on precision throws, although he can heave it downfield with some power. He's simply not an effective passer. While rookie Tyler Wilson has shined at OTA practices, Pryor has stumbled. Look for Matt Flynn and Wilson to make 2013 starts while Pryor operates as the third-stringer in a baseball cap.

Terrelle Pryor believes the Raiders' new braintrust is putting an emphasis on finding players with good character.
"We don’t want guys, like coach says all the time, we don’t want guys that are about women, fast cars, cars," Pryor said. "It’s all about competing, being a team player first and loving the game of football." It's a laudable sentiment, but teams that focus on character and
only
character tend to go nowhere fast. GM Reggie McKenzie and coach Dennis Allen deserve patience as they rebuild a broken roster, but they've had a questionable offseason, at best.

Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie said Monday that newly acquired Matt Flynn will compete with Terrelle Pryor for the team's starting quarterback job in camp.
There is "organizational skepticism" about Pryor's quarterback future, but it sounds like he'll at least split reps with Flynn. "We’re going to let him compete and battle, and see what happens," McKenzie said of Flynn. Although Flynn is the favorite, it's worth remembering that he couldn't beat out another athletic third-round pick in Seahawks camp last year. Russell Wilson is obviously miles ahead of Pryor -- he simply throws the football better -- but we'd stop short of markering Flynn into the Week 1 starter's job.

According to Yahoo's Mike Silver, there is "much organizational skepticism" about Raiders third-year QB Terrelle Pryor.
Pryor is big and athletic, but doesn't throw the football with velocity or accuracy -- and that's a big problem for NFL quarterbacks. In an in-depth Raiders column citing a variety of sources, Silver suggests the club may still keep Pryor around on an athletic quarterback depth chart that could potentially add free agent Vince Young and West Virginia's Geno Smith to a three-way training camp battle.

Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (Lisfranc surgery) says his foot is 100 percent healed.
Ford suffered Lisfranc injuries in each of the past two seasons, but finally appears to be 100 percent. The explosive receiver has a career 17.0 YPR average, and anticipates being used on returns this season in addition to being one of the team's top pass catchers. Entering the final year of his rookie contract, it will be important for Ford to show he can remain healthy.

New Raiders KR Josh Cribbs (meniscus surgery) says he'll be ready "when it’s time to play football."
Cribbs called Jets GM John Idzik's observation that his knee "(wasn't) quite there yet" a "negotiation tactic" before admitting he might not be ready to practice for over a month. Regardless, Cribbs should be ready well in advance of Week 1, and is slotted in as the Raiders' primary return man.
