Former Broncos and Eagles S Brian Dawkins announced his retirement.
Dawkins says he's 100 percent recovered from last year's neck injury, but his odds of returning for a fourth season in Denver took a hit after the Broncos signed FS Mike Adams. Dawkins remained an effective player last season, but was increasingly limited by injuries, missing a combined seven games. A nine-time Pro Bowler, he was named a first-team All Pro four times, and was a second-team All Pro as recently as 2009. He spent his first 12 seasons in Philadelphia, and will retire as an Eagle after 37 interceptions, 26 sacks and 1,169 tackles compiled across 224 career games. A media favorite, Dawkins is likely Canton bound.

Free agent SS Brian Dawkins says his neck injury is 100 percent recovered, and the numbness is gone from his fingers.
Dawkins describes his late-season injury as a pinched nerve that simply needed recovery time. The 38-year-old remains undecided about playing in 2012. After Mike Adams signed in Denver, Dawkins may not be welcomed back.

Free agent SS Brian Dawkins is expected to either retire or re-sign with the Broncos.
If Dawkins (neck) receives medical clearance to play, he is not expected to peddle his wares on the open market. The odds are high Dawkins has played his final down.

The Denver Post confirms that SS Brian Dawkins' contract has expired and he is a free agent.
The NFLPA database previously listed Dawkins as being under contract for $6 million in 2012, but was recently updated and does not have him signed at all. Dawkins suffered a career-threatening neck injury late in the 2011 season. Now 38 years old, we suspect Dawkins has played his last snap in the NFL.

Brent Celek (shoulder and hernia surgeries) "(didn't) look that limited" at Eagles OTAs on Tuesday.
The Eagles have been mum on Celek's status other than revealing he will see "limited reps" in June's minicamp, but it sounds like earlier concerns about his recovery were overblown. Celek recently proclaimed that he "felt better than I have probably in the last three of four years," and should be at or near 100 percent for camp. He believes he was injured for perhaps two years before going under the knife.
