Coach Dennis Allen said it's a "comforting feeling" for him to know he can count on three points anytime the offense gets across the 50-yard line.
Sebastian Janikowski is 29-of-32 on the year, with his three misses coming from 51, 61 and 64 yards out. It's another Pro Bowl caliber year for SeaBass, who remains a potent weapon for owners that get rewarded for long field goals. Over the last four years, he's made 23-of-34 kicks from 50-plus.

Coach Dennis Allen said Sebastian Janikowski's sore groin was not the reason he passed on a 58-yard field-goal attempt in Week 6.
Allen apparently believes the first half of a 0-0 game is too early to unleash Janikowski's mammoth leg even though the game was in a dome. It's not a great sign for SeaBass' fantasy value. Through five games, he is just 2-of-2 from 50-plus yards after going 7-of-10 from that distance last season.

Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski (groin) was limited in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable for Week 3.
The Raiders are trying to be deceptive on the injury report ahead of Sunday's matchup with the Steelers, listing eight guys as "limited/questionable." Janikowski suffered the injury in Oakland's third preseason game and has been fine the first two weeks of the season. Trot him out as your fantasy kicker.

Sebastian Janikowski (groin) will kick in Monday's game against the Chargers.
Janikowski tweaked his groin while trying to make a tackle during the third preseason game. He's fully recovered from that and will be ready to go in the opener. Janikowski's powerful leg and the Raiders' propensity to get in shootouts make him a strong fantasy kicking option.

Raiders WR Jacoby Ford (Lisfranc surgery) says his foot is 100 percent healed.
Ford suffered Lisfranc injuries in each of the past two seasons, but finally appears to be 100 percent. The explosive receiver has a career 17.0 YPR average, and anticipates being used on returns this season in addition to being one of the team's top pass catchers. Entering the final year of his rookie contract, it will be important for Ford to show he can remain healthy.

New Raiders KR Josh Cribbs (meniscus surgery) says he'll be ready "when it’s time to play football."
Cribbs called Jets GM John Idzik's observation that his knee "(wasn't) quite there yet" a "negotiation tactic" before admitting he might not be ready to practice for over a month. Regardless, Cribbs should be ready well in advance of Week 1, and is slotted in as the Raiders' primary return man.
