Claude Lemieux has retired from hockey once again.
The fire still burned bright enough that Lemieux came out of a five-year retirement with the goal of playing in the NHL. Over the course of a few months, his hockey odyssey took him to China to get his legs back under him before playing with San Jose's minor league affiliate in Worcester. He finally received the call to the bigs in January and played sporadically down the stretch. The cagey veteran won four Stanley Cups in his career and will always be remembered as public enemy number one in Detroit for his devastating hit on Kris Draper when Lemieux was a member of the hated Colorado Avalanche.
