Paul Byron scored his ninth goal of the season at 3:15 of overtime to give the Montreal Canadiens a 3-2 victory over the Sabres in Buffalo Wednesday night.
Byron's goal was unassisted and was the only one that wasn't scored by one of the Habs' defensemen in this game. The other two scorers for Montreal were Greg Pateryn -- his first in the NHL -- and Andrei Markov, his fifth. The Canadiens, who are now above .500 at 33-32-6, had lost two in a row entering Wednesday. Mar 16 - 10:46 PM
