Scott Glennie picked up two goals and an assist in a 6-3 win over St. John's in Game 1 of the Calder Cup Final on Sunday night.
"He's put the work in, and he's really improved his game," Texas coach Willie Desjardins said before the AHL Final. "He had to earn it. He sat probably 20 games at one point, and he had to earn his way back into the lineup, but he did it." Glennie was the eighth overall pick in the 2009 draft, but he's only appeared in one NHL game and it came during the 2011-12 campaign. He's starting to gain back some attention after notching six goals and four assists in 16 playoff games. Glennie could finally be ready to push for a roster spot in the fall. Jun 9 - 10:22 AM
