Ryan Spooner's first NHL goal was the overtime winner in the Bruins' Friday night 3-2 win over New Jersey.
Spooner, who has been shuffled between the AHL and NHL the past few seasons, scored for the first time in 35 NHL games. He was pretty stoked about it too. "I was honestly shocked," said Spooner with a grin. "I was like 'Oh wow, it actually went in.' It feels great." Spooner centered the Bruins' top line featuring David Pastrnak and Milan Lucic. That unit was buzzing around the New Jersey net all game and took a very impressive 15 shots on goal. As long as he continues to play at a high level, Spooner will likely get the chance to sub in for the injured David Krejci going forward. He makes a nice depth forward acquistion. Feb 28 - 9:09 AM
