Jonathan Drouin has been turning heads playing for Team Canada at the World Junior Championship.
Even his teammates admit to not knowing much about him, but they certainly have a taste of how talented he is now. "He's so dynamic, so quick down low," said Edmonton center Ryan Nugent-Hopkins. "He's got good vision, so it's fun when you get a chance to play with a guy like that. He handles himself really well for a 17-year-old." His teammates have raved about his hockey sense and his skill during the tournament, which should improve his draft stock heading into the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, where he is expected to be a top pick.

Jonathan Drouin was promoted to the top line for Monday's match against Russia and he scored in Canada's 4-1 victory.
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins contributed three helpers in the game to add to his tournament scoring lead. Florida first rounder Jonathan Huberdeau notched a goal and an assist in the winning effort. Canada clinched top spot in Group B with the "W" and have earned a bye into the World Junior Championship semifinals.

Team Canada is hoping that Jonathan Drouin (charley horse) misses only one game.
If true, this is good news for the Canadians as Drouin suffered the injury in practice today and the talk earlier was that he could be iffy for the entire tournament. Canada plays Germany on Wednesday and the Canadians will be down to 11 forwards as Boone Jenner has been suspended for three games. Stay tuned.

Jonathan Drouin suffered a charley horse in the latter stages of practice Tuesday and is iffy for the World Junior Tournament in Russia.
Drouin has been on a tear as the 17-year-old managed to secure an early spot on the second line for the Canadians. This injury puts Canada in a tough spot as they have already lost Boone Jenner for three games due to suspension and this injury, if serious enough, could force Canada to drop Drouin from the team and fly over another forward from the CHL. Look for Ty Rattie to take over on the second line if Drouin is unable to go.
