Bournemouth defender Steve Cook scored a header in injury time to force a replay with Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup.
Bournemouth, playing at home, went 2-0 down in the first-half and had to force their way back into the game from there. First Will Grigg, famed for being on fire, scored in the first few minutes for the Latics. Emerson Hyndman, one of eight changes to the Cherries' line-up, scored an own-goal after Nick Powell's cross deflected off him into his own net to increase the deficit. Eddie Howe brought on Ibe and Pugh at the interval to turn the tide in the game and this proved to be a successful move. Afobe and Steve Cook went close before Ibe's cross culminated in Mousset pulling back on for the PL side. Wigan 'keeper Walton made a succession of saves but couldn't save the day as Cook powered in a header from a Pugh cross in injury time. Bournemouth will know they should never have been dragged to a replay with League One opposition, but that is now the reality for them. Yet another game for a side fatigued after the festive fixtures. Jan 6 - 1:31 PM
