Tottenham forward Heung-Min Son faces further tests after suffering a suspected broken arm.
The 24-year-old, who has just enjoyed a hugely successful Premier League campaign, was injured playing for South Korea in a World Cup qualifier in Doha. Son landed awkwardly following an aerial challenge, and was led down the tunnel holding his arm in an ice-pack on the half hour mark. The Korean Football Association released a statement soon after the 3-2 loss to Qatar confirming he would undergo further tests: "Son is suspected of having his arm broken. Our team doctor had the arm braced before being scanned when the team arrives back here this afternoon." Coach Uli Stielike also revealed the injury is "not good" and that the right forearm could be fractured: "We have to have a scan, it may be broken." The setback is likely to keep Son out of full contact training when Tottenham reconvene for pre-season at the beginning of July but he should be OK to resume light activities depending on the severity of the break.
