Rob Holding has suffered a devastating setback which is likely to end his campaign.
The Arsenal defender was stretchered off at Old Trafford on Wednesday night, and although the club have not provided details of the knee injury, manager Unai Emery admitted: "At the moment, the first news is not good." Holding was enjoying his best run in the first-team since arriving from Bolton in 2016 and has been one of the standout performers in a Gunners side which reached a milestone of 20 games unbeaten in the draw with Manchester United. "We are waiting," Emery said ahead of this weekend’s game with Huddersfield Town. "The best news for me is [being] calm, but the doctors are looking at him and they are going to communicate with us." However, Holding looks to have ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament which is almost certain to rule him out for the rest of 2018/19. Laurent Koscielny is hoping to return to the 18 on Saturday after building fitness with the development side following a serious Achilles injury. Thu, Dec 6, 2018 04:33:00 PM
