A brace for Leroy Sane and a brace of assists for Raheem Sterling saw Manchester City hang four goals on West Ham United in a comprehensive performance.
Starting Fabian Delph in place of the injured Benjamin Mendy and Ilkay Gundogan for Benardo City, Manchester City’s depth showed. After a slow start by their standards, David Silva slipped through for the opener as Raheem Sterling’s cross was deflected into his pass. That’s the fourth straight game that Silva has scored in and while West Ham came out with an intent to attack, City was far too strong on the day. Just minutes later, Leroy Sane teed up Raheem Sterling to put the Citizens ahead 2-0 and in the 34th minute, Sterling returned the favor as Sane had all the time in the world to settle the ball and make Arthur Masuaku look silly in the process. In stoppage time, Gabriel Jesus teed up Sane to ping it past Lukasz Fabianski for good measure and the final 4-0 scoreline. Until proven otherwise, Manchester City is the best team in the league and its results like this that show us why. Nov 24 - 12:05 PM
