Premier League stragglers Hull City have appointed Marco Silva as their new Head Coach.
The club announced that the Portuguese man had taken up the post less than 48 hours after announcing the departure of Mike Phelan. He is the club's third manager since May when they won promotion to the PL via the play-offs. He has a reputation for attacking football and has previous experience in his homeland with Sporting Lisbon and most recently with Olympiacos in Greece. He won the title with the Greek team and they set a European 21st century record for the longest streak of domestic wins in a row with 17. His most prominent victory while with Olympiacos came when they caused an upset by beating Arsenal 3-2 in the Champions League group stage. He left that post last July citing personal reasons.
