Leicester City showed plenty of fight in overcoming deficits twice to nearly pull out a result on the road but saw Wolves win it 4-3 on a goal in the game's final moments.
Considering how things started, you have to give Leicester credit for battling back, but it made the end result all the more difficult to endure. Wolves were clearly more prepared at the opening whistle and they made a sluggish defense pay with two goals inside the first twelve minutes. Leicester would not pull one back before halftime, but showed signs of life that suggested the second half could tell a different story. It did, as Demarai Gray scored two minutes into the second frame, drilling home a ball supplied by Jamie Vardy. Four minutes later, Leicester were level, as Harvey Barnes had his shot take a deflection in for a Conor Coady own goal. Wolves would go back ahead shortly after the hour mark but the Foxes looked to have sealed a draw when they scored in the 87th minute with a Wes Morgan header from a free kick whipped in by James Maddison.
