Crystal Palace lose again to Arsenal, but no-one is panicking at Selhurst Park…
Palace have lost their last six matches against Arsenal, the last three by a 2-1 margin. But there is no need for panic at the Palace. Connor Wickham led the attack after Glenn Murray’s start at Norwich on the opening day, with Patrick Bamford on the bench – which leaves question marks as to Pardew’s preferred line-up. But he seems settled on Wilfried Zaha and Jason Puncheon as his attacking midfield options. Neither have been spectacular points scorers (nine and seven so far) but their performances suggest they are worth persisting with. Puncheon’s set piece delivery is a dangerous weapon, going close to producing a late equalizer on a couple of occasions on Sunday. Joel Ward was the man, of course. He won’t score many this season – and none better – but is a solid and cheap choice going forward and defensively. Aug 17 - 3:33 PM
