West Bromwich Albion can live to fight another day, as they are not yet mathematically eliminated from survival after grabbing a late winner in a 1-0 upset over Tottenham.
It was a classic affair at the Hawthorns, in that beautiful attacking football was nowhere to be seen, and instead a goalless draw looked to be the result. The Baggies were unsurprisingly dominated by the opponent in terms of possession but they were able to create some chances on their end. After surviving several Tottenham chances, West Brom nearly took the lead on an Ahmed Hegazi header just before the break. Salomon Rondon was set up nicely by Keiran Gibbs early in the second frame but the striker fluffed his lines. While they did well to keep Spurs out, the Baggies knew a draw would do no good as they entered stoppage time. They managed to earn a corner and a flurry around the ball ended with Livermore slotting home. West Brom must win again in their final game and somehow have Southampton and Swansea collapse, which will be difficult seeing that they play against each other. May 5 - 12:14 PM
