West Bromwich Albion were behind the eight ball from the get go, being reduced to ten men in the first two minutes of the match, but despite a 3-0 loss against Manchester City, Boaz Myhill was a saves machine.
The Baggies were ill-prepared from the opening whistle and they paid dearly for it. Wilfired Bony was able to find some space at the edge of the area and eluded a foul by Gareth McCauley. The ref played advantage but Bony was then taken down inside the box by Michael Dawson. This created some confusion as the ref reached for a red card and told McAuley to take a hike when commentators were clamoring for a Dawson foul. Regardless, an unprepared team down to ten men at the Etihad with 88 minutes to play went as expected. City peppered the goal all day, and though Boaz Myhill let three by, he saved over a dozen. His positive work earned him 15 points, not a bad result for a budget backup keeper at the Etihad. Mar 21 - 10:52 AM
