Queens Park Rangers have pinned their Premier League survival hopes on their home form to date and with ten straight losses on the road the pressure to keep winning is beginning to mount.
Saturday saw Manchester United arrive in West London amid growing speculation that Harry Redknapp was in the last chance saloon with Rangers requiring a win to save his job. However it wasn’t meant to be although after the opening 45 minutes there was nothing to choose between the two sides. Replacements at the break brought a change in fortune with the away side benefitting most - whether it was the loss of defensive stalwart Richard Dunne to a groin injury or the change of style / formation from Louis van Gaal – Juan Mata replaced by Marouane Fellaini - isn’t clear but it was the big Belgium who grabbed the opener within 15 minutes of his arrival before James Wilson sealed the victory in the dying moments.
