Leicester City looked to be in store for an unforgettable result after taking a 1-0 lead over Chelsea into halftime, but the Blues responded with three goals in the second half and the Foxes came away empty in a 1-3 final.
With the inevitable title winners as an opponent, it was a tall task for Leicester to get a result, and after losing two players to injury in the first half, Andy King and Robert Huth, their chances seemed all the more slim. They were the better side in the opening frame though, and Marc Albrighton got the goal to credit their efforts. Jamie Vardy chased the ball down the left flank deep into Chelsea territory and crossed it into the area where Albrighton was alone. It was Albrighton's first goal in the top flight since he scored for Villa back in 2011. The Foxes need to put this result behind them with the quick turnaround as they play the early Saturday kickoff at home to a very vulnerable Newcastle United side. Apr 29 - 4:56 PM
