Harry Kane scored twice in the first half to hand Tottenham a 2-0 win over Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
Tottenham was without injury absentees Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli for the trip to the John Smith's Stadium, and the match began with Huddersfield looking like the more inspired side. However, it wasn't long before Spurs took control. Kane gave the visitors the lead on 25 minutes when he headed a Kieran Trippier cross into the ground and beyond Jonas Lossl. The striker then doubled the lead nine minutes, converting from the penalty spot after Danny Rose was brought down by Florent Hadergjonaj. Huddersfield went close twice in the first-half but third-choice keeper Paulo Gazzaniga was on hand to deny Chris Lowe, while Laurent Depoitre rattled the bar just before the break. Gazzaniga would later make a flying save on Isaac Mbenza to keep his clean sheet intact. The victory moves Spurs up to fourth, while Huddersfield remains bottom on two points. Sep 29 - 2:17 PM
