Tomas Rosicky has been ruled out for the remainder of the European Championships after scan results revealed he suffered a thigh injury during Fridays draw with Croatia.
The former Arsenal midfielder came into this tournament with questions marks over his fitness having spent more than two-months out after suffering a thigh strain in January. But, the Czech captain was able to prove himself during the Euro 2016 warm-up matches and made an impressive start in the Group D opener versus Spain. Rosicky then helped the Czech Republic earn a share of the spoils against Croatia before pulling up in the 90th minute because of a problem in his thigh: "I felt that we needed to push for the three points so I pushed myself harder," he said. "I didn't have much strength left and I've paid for it unfortunately." The Czech team doctor revealed Rosicky could be side-lined for between 3-6 weeks. Mon, Jun 20, 2016 06:56:00 AM
