Further tests have confirmed Kwesi Appiah will spend around 9 months on the sidelines after the Crystal Palace forward ruptured knee ligaments while on international duty.
Appiah was training ahead of Ghana’s upcoming AFCoN qualifying game versus Mauritius before suffering a serious knee injury. Scan results have now revealed the extent of the problem and the 24 year-old will go under the knife after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament - an injury which will keep Appiah out for the best part of a year. However despite signing for the Eagles from non-league side Margate back in 2012 Appiah is yet to make his BPL bow after loan spells at a number of lower league sides – Aldershot, Yeovil, Cambridge, Notts County and AFC Wimbledon - and it now looks like the striker will need to wait another season before tasting first team football at Selhurst Park.
