Stoke City managed to end their run in the top flight in positive fashion, nabbing three points on the road as they defeated Swansea City, 1-2.
There was little intrigue in this match that included two of the three sides destined for relegation, but Stoke not only managed to secure a rare win, they did so in comeback fashion. After conceding the opener to the Swans inside the opening quarter hour, the Potters were able to equalize on 31 minutes, when Xherdan Shaqiri delivered one of his patented balls to Babou N'Diaye, who clipped it over the keeper. Then, not long before halftime, Stoke were given a free kick which Lasse Sorensen sent into the area and the veteran crouch headed home at the near post for his fifth goal of the campaign. N'Diaye had a chance to add to the lead in the second half when he put the ball into the net with ten minutes to play but the goal was waived offside. May 13 - 12:03 PM
