Missouri junior RB Henry Josey will miss the 2012 season while recovering from his 2011 knee injury in which he suffered a torn ACL, MCL, and patella tendon.
This news is somewhat expected, despite Josey running 100-yard sprints during offseason workouts. As a sophomore last season, he had 1,168 yards rushing with an eye-opening 8.1 yards per carry before his season was cut short. We wonder if he will be granted a medical redshirt for this season and keep his two years of eligibility.

While Henry Josey could return for the 2012 season, it is not a likely scenario as the running back recovers from a devastating knee injury.
Josey was having a monster season when he tore up his knee against Texas on Nov. 12, an injury that may require a second major surgery. Hence, it would not be right to expect Josey to take the field next season. He has two years of eligibility remaining. As a sophomore last season, he had 1,168 yards rushing with an eye-opening 8.1 ypc when his season was cut short.

Henry Josey’s season is over after the Missouri running back had surgery Sunday night for a torn tendon and two torn ligaments in his left knee.
Josey suffered the injury in the third quarter of Saturday’s win over Texas. The sophomore is the Big 12’s leading rusher with 1,168 yards and he came into the game against the Longhorns with four straight games of more than 125 yards.

Josey was banged up in the opening half and missed most of the second quarter before leaving in the third quarter with the left knee injury. Josey, who was 11-19 on his abbreviated day, has 1,168 rushing yards on the season.
