Kentucky running back Raymond Sanders is unlikely to play against Mississippi State this weekend after suffering a high-ankle sprain in Saturday's win over Jacksonville State.
"It's a high ankle sprain, it's just not one of those that they think he will be out four or five weeks," Kentucky's Joker Phillips said. "But it's definitely iffy for this coming week. We'll have to see as days go by whether or not he can play this week, but it doesn't look good." Junior RB CoShik Williams performed well in his absence, but the Wildcats will need much more production from the running game if they hope to beat Mississippi State.
