NFL Media draft analyst Chad Reuter writes that Oregon senior OW Byron Marshall's "thicker build might allow him to translate as an NFL running back more easily" than 2014 fourth-rounder De'Anthony Thomas.
"However, scouts aren't sure if his perimeter running style is suited for every-down work in the NFL and his lack of height (5-10, 200) will hurt his stock as a receiver," Reuter wrote. "Thomas was more explosive but lasted until the fourth round of the 2014 draft due to his size." The 5-foot-9, 201-pounder rushed for over 1,000 yards and scored 14 touchdowns in 2013 before shifting to receiver last year. He caught 74 passes for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns in 2014, adding 52 carries for 392 yards and a score. Jun 29 - 8:11 PM
