Adam Muema has stood out in the competition to replace Ronnie Hillman at running back.
Not that coach Rocky Long is necessarily looking to give virtually all the work to one running back. Hillman was quite a workhorse for the Aztecs, but Long said multiple players could see situational work. Still, Muema is the only experienced running back having picked up 253 yards (6.0 ypc) in the six games he served as Hillman’s backup last season.
