Raiders selected Michigan State QB Connor Cook with the No. 100 overall pick in the 2016 draft.
This year's A.J. McCarron goes earlier than he probably should. Cook (6'4/217) made 39 starts for Michigan State, posting a 34-5 record, 57.5 career completion percentage, 7.86 YPA and 71:22 TD-to-INT ratio. He tested out well in Indy, running 4.79 with a 33-inch vertical. Cook is ideally built with decent arm strength, but his accuracy is worrisome and that can be a fatal flaw. Cook was also persistently knocked for poor leadership, failing to earn team captain as a junior or senior. On the field, Cook profiles as a cross between Kyle Orton and Brady Quinn. He looks the part, but doesn't throw the ball straight or with touch on a consistent basis. Apr 30 - 12:24 PM
