The Texas Longhorns didn't have a drafted player for the first time since 1937.
The 'Horns owned the longest such streak in the country prior to this weekend. Between 2000-2013, for comparison, the school had 55 prospects drafted. Defensive end Jackson Jeffcoat, the Big 12's co-defensive player of the year in 2013 and the son of former NFL defensive end Jim Jeffcoat, probably had the best chance of being drafted, but his small frame (6-foot-3 and 247 pounds) and mediocre measureables sunk him. He signed with the Seahawks as a UDFA. Former Longhorns QB Garrett Gilbert was taken in the sixth round by the St. Louis Rams. Sun, May 11, 2014 03:45:00 PM
