Raiders selected Florida State DE Mario Edwards with the No. 35 overall pick in the 2015 NFL draft.
Edwards (6'3/279) was a first-team All-ACC pick as a true junior in 2014, finishing his career with 26 starts, 23 TFLs, and eight sacks. He saw action at defensive tackle, end, and even "Jack" linebacker, a testament to Edwards' versatility. Edwards has long arms (33 1/4) and gargantuan hands (10 7/8), and impressed in Indy with a 4.84 forty, 32 1/2-inch vertical, and 10-foot broad jump. Edwards' tape is spotty, however, as his effort comes and goes and he was seen as an underachiever in terms of pass rush at FSU. Edwards looks like a boom-or-bust prospect. He'll compete for snaps at right end opposite LE Justin Tuck. May 1 - 7:24 PM
