Washington sophomore LB Jamaal Kearse and senior WR James Johnson will miss four to six weeks while recovering from surgery.
Kearse underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his tibia, while Johnson's surgery fixed a dislocated wrist that resulted in torn ligaments. Both players started four games last season in a reserve role, the latter posting a 13.8 yards per reception average. The Huskies did receive good news with junior receiver Kevin Smith returning to practice in a limited role after suffering a torn ACL prior to the school's bowl game in December.
