Giants selected Texas A&M DE Damontre Moore with the No. 81 overall pick.
Moore (6-5, 250) terrorized the SEC en route to 21 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and two kick blocks in 2012. He led the Aggies in tackles (85), impressive for a defensive lineman. Unfortunately, Moore lacks marquee athleticism and explosion, and was exposed at the Combine with a 4.95 forty. He also managed just 12 bench-press reps, suggesting Moore has lots of work to do in the weight room. He does play relentlessly and showed "Joker" traits in college, rushing productively off the edge, to the inside, and as a stand-up outside 'backer. Moore was once considered a top-ten pick. He'll be a rotational rusher behind starters Justin Tuck and Jason Pierre-Paul.

Texas A&M pass rusher Damontre Moore has already completed an in-house visit with the Ravens.
Moore will hopefully complete a healthy forty yard dash at the Cowboys' local pro day workout. The Aggie has experience as a pass rushing linebacker and down defensive end and wins with a solid motor to chase down ball carriers. He's admitted to a poor work ethic off the field, but Moore would be wise to maximize his hand use and length.

Scouts Inc.'s Kevin Weidl believes Texas A&M DE Damontre Moore is a third day player.
"Not high on Damontre Moore," Jeremiah tweeted. "Pedestrian hands, limited flexibility and lacks explosive snap. Does not win enough 1 on 1's for me." When asked why Moore was once considered an early first rounder, Weidl answered "production and hype during the season. Post season when scouts start really digging into tape is when it sorts itself out."

Draft Insider Tony Pauline tweets that Texas A&M OLB Damontre Moore could run the 40-yard dash again.
Moore chose not to do the 40 at his pro day, which was a surprise to many. Instead, he focused on the bench press and appears to have plans to run the 40 again at a later date. At the combine, he ran a 4.95, which was a significant help to his sliding stock. He'll have to improve on that at the 40 time to show he's willing to work hard.
