ESPN's Mel Kiper wrote that, while he likes this season's class of tackles, "it's interesting that there might not be a true NFL left tackle -- at least early on -- among the top four players."
"For example: [Iowa senior T Brandon Scherff] has room to grow as a pass-blocker, and some team may just want to move him inside and let him dominate as a guard," Kiper wrote. Kiper ranks Scherff No. 1 amongst tackles, with Cedric Ogbuehi, La'el Collins, and Andrus Peat slotted behind him, in order. The 6-foot-5, 320-pound Scherff won the Outland Trophy, given to college football's top interior lineman. Dec 17 - 11:48 PM
