Cowboys QB Dak Prescott said that "it doesn't really mean anything to [him]" that Dallas attempted to trade back into the first round to select Memphis QB Paxton Lynch.
And it shouldn't matter to Prescott. Paxton Lynch is a Denver Bronco and Dak Prescott is a Dallas Cowboy. That is all that really counts here. Said the 6-foot-2, 226-pound fourth-round gunslinger, "I’m sure I wasn’t the first one on Mississippi State’s recruiting board when I committed to them. But everything works out and happens for a reason." He has no qualms with sitting on the bench behind Tony Romo for an extended period of time as he learns the NFL ropes. "I think all of us rookies need to develop to be better NFL players at this point. If that means developing for a year or two years, sitting behind Romo," Prescott explained, "I’m ready to learn everything I can from him and follow him on and off the field, just the way he carries himself as a pro."
