CBS Sport's Dane Brugler believes TCU red-shirt sophomore DE Devonte Fields could be the "top NFL prospect out of TCU since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2001."
"He beats blocks with his natural athleticism as the game comes easy to him. Fields' development in 2014 is crucial to his NFL future, already showing high first round potential as an impact pass rusher," Brugler wrote. As a true freshman, the TCU prospect led the Horned Frogs with 18.5 tackles for loss and 10 sacks. After being suspended for the first two games of the season he was then limited in action, before injuring his foot and ending his season. Now that Fields is fully healthy, he'll get an opportunity to top his breakout freshman performance. If Fields can work on his technique and show evaluators that he can start converting speed to power, he'll be sure to raise his stock during this upcoming season. Jun 9 - 8:26 PM
