Sports on Earth's Matt Brown ranks UCLA junior DT DT Eddie Vanderdoes as the 14th-best defensive tackle in the country.
The 6-foot-3, 305-pounder didn't miss a game last season, logging 50 tackles, 5.5 TFL and two sacks. He also rushed for a touchdown against Utah. "Vanderdoes has teamed with Kenny Clark to give the Bruins an exceptional pair of tackles to lead the defensive front," Brown wrote. "A five-star recruit out of high school, Vanderdoes initially signed with Notre Dame, but he changed his mind and ended up at UCLA, where he's made an impact since day one in 2013." Vanderoes may ultimately be slightly underrated by the public, as his primary job in UCLA's defense is keeping ILB Myles Jack clean by making life hell on interior offensive lineman.
