Jaguars selected Alabama OT Cam Robinson with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2017 NFL draft.
The Seahawks traded down for the third time in this draft, nabbing an extra sixth-rounder (No. 187 overall) in exchange for moving down one spot. Robinson (6’6/322) started 43 games in three years with the Crimson Tide, earning the 2016 Outland Trophy as the nation’s top offensive lineman and twice earning the Jacobs Trophy as the SEC’s top blocker. Robinson reminds of fellow ex-Alabama OT Andre Smith as a dominant college lineman whose NFL outlook isn’t as clear. Often compared to disappointing Giants LT Ereck Flowers, Robinson tested as a 35th-percentile athlete in Indy and was flagged for 23 penalties over his final two seasons. All too often a whiffer in pass protection, Robinson is likely best suited for guard or right tackle in the pros. Fri, Apr 28, 2017 07:29:00 PM
