Western Kentucky sophomore QB Parker McLeod will transfer and has decided to retire from football.
The former three-star Alabama recruit transferred to WKU in May because he was buried on the depth chart behind Blake Sims and Jacob Coker. He sat out the 2014 season due to NCAA rule, but has apparently now decided to hang up his cleats and focus on his studies. In other Hilltopper QB news, fellow backup Troy Jones, a former JUCO transfer, has also decided to transfer. Jones, a graduate transfer, plans to continue playing, and will have immediate eligibility wherever he lands. Neither McLeod nor Jones would have seen much playing time in 2015 with record-setting QB Brandon Doughty returning for one more year. Jan 29 - 8:33 PM
