Kansas State DE Ryan Mueller "has some Tedy Bruschi to him," according to CBS Sports' Dane Brugler.
"Mueller stays low out of his stance with quick get-off to shoot gaps and penetrate the backfield," Brugler wrote. "He displays a strong understanding of leverage and angles with a flexible lower body and powerful hands to finish tackles. Mueller routinely plays alert, well-prepared and assignment sound, reading the run well and containing the edge. Although he's not a quick-twitch mover, he has better change of direction abilities than expected and looks comfortable on his feet, leading many to believe his future might be at linebacker in the NFL." He led the Wildcats in tackles for loss (18.5) and sacks (11.5) in 2013. "Ryan just epitomizes what Coach Snyder is all about, doesn't he?" an NFC North scout said. "There's no doubt he has his limitations, but he's a 110-percenter with a locked in motor that won't quit. To be honest, I'm not sure where or if he's going to be drafted, but I'm not betting against him." Sep 17 - 9:57 PM
