Pro Football Focus analyst Gordon McGuinness wrote, "it’s not unreasonable to think that [Alabama RB Kenyan Drake] might actually have a better pro career [than teammate Derrick Henry].
McGuinness broke down potential draft prospects for the Broncos and Panthers on Monday. He sees the 6-foot-1, 202-pound Drake as a nice fit for Denver, noting that he "could provide a welcome boost to an offense that will likely have plenty of question marks given the quarterback situation." One of the immediate advantages Drake has over Henry in this conversation is that the latter is almost certainly going to cost a higher draft pick. One immediate downer? Drake's never been given more than 92 carries in a collegiate campaign. Whether he has the durability to hold up to a full workload remains to be seen--something that's not true for Henry, who swings to the opposite extreme (possibly to his detriment). Another early demerit for Drake: During the Senior Bowl practice week, CBS Sports analyst Rob Rang observed that he had his issues with drops and struggled to perform in pass-blocking drills.
