Washington redshirt senior edge rusher Hau'oli Kikaha "has lived up to expectations" of high preseason grades from scouts, writes TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.
"Entering the season scouts handed Kikaha solid grades and the senior has lived up to expectations in the early going," Pauline wrote. "During the blowout victory over Illinois, he led Washington in all tackling categories with 6 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. And while the Fighting Illini are shy on talent their left tackle Simon Cvijanovic has been given late round grades in some scouting circles. Kikaha has a history of knee injuries and many are concerned with his athleticism yet no one questions his ability to disrupt the action and consistently make plays behind the line of scrimmage." Rotoworld's Josh Norris lauded Kikaha last week, writing: "Unlike many prospects, Kikaha uses his hands very well on first contact. He is able to control his opponent at the point of attack, and either work inside or take an outside angle with bend to turn the corner. Hand use is also the reason Kikaha flashed success when rushing from the inside." Sep 15 - 6:15 PM
