Georgia redshirt junior RB A.J. Turman transferred to Florida Atlantic.
Turman has yet to receive a collegiate carry, but he managed to make news earlier this offseason when Georgia HC Kirby Smart put restricted him from transferring to Florida or Miami. Miami, of course, is the new home to Mark Richt, who was part of Turman's initial recruitment back in 2013. The 6-foot, 198-pounder is past Smart's little roadblock, now, and excited to hit the field with the Owls. It will just have to wait one season, as he will be forced to sit out the 2016 campaign due to NCAA transfer regulations. "It was hard at first," said the 6-foot, 198-pounder, "just leaving Georgia and everything, the fans and all my good friends. I love Georgia, I still do. I just feel like it’s the best thing for me."
