Fran Duffy believes Northwestern WR Austin Carr was the biggest NFL Scouting Combine snub at receiver outside of Baylor’s Ishmael Zamora and Ole Miss’ Damore’ea Stringfellow.
Zamora and Stringfellow didn't make the cut because of off-field transgressions, whereas Carr was omitted because of a lack of athleticism. Carr earned first-team All-Big Ten honors this past year and was a third-team All-American selection after posting a healthy 90-1,247-12 line. "The shifty slot man has very good hands and is a shifty route runner, and in a lot of ways I like him as much or even more than other players of similar body types such as Ryan Switzer (North Carolina) and Trent Taylor (Louisiana Tech), both of whom were invited to Indy," Duffy wrote. "It wouldn’t shock me at all if Carr ended up hearing his name called on draft weekend." Feb 16 - 1:41 PM
