Washington redshirt senior QB K.J. Carta-Samuels transferred to Colorado State as a graduate.
Rams HC Mike Bobo desperately needed a graduate transfer quarterback following the graduation of former starter Nick Stevens and the ACL tear of presumed 2018 starter Collin Hill in March. Bobo landed his man through unlikely circumstances, convincing Carta-Samuels to leave his commitment to join UCLA (after transferring out of Washington in January). The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Carta-Samuels threw for a little over 300 years in his Huskies career as a backup to Jake Browning. Coming out of high school, he was Rivals' No. 10 pro-style quarterback. With Hill probably out for the year (or at least the first half of it), Carta-Samuels will only need to fend off J.C. Robles and Justice McCoy to start Week 1 for the Rams. Mar 25 - 5:32 PM
