Martin Flores is set for his first trip to TPC Sawgrass for THE PLAYERS.
Flores is quietly trending upward, with a T10-MC-T38 in his last three starts. The top 10 at the Valero Texas Open is his only one of the season and the T38 at last week's Wells Fargo Championship stands as his third-best finish of 2013. He enters the week 189th in driving accuracy, which is not a good formula for success on the visually intimidating Pete Dye track.

Martin Flores lit up TPC San Antonio for a final-round 4-under-par 34-34=68, improving to 7-under 281 for the week and picking up his first top 10 of the season.
Flores' previous best finish this season was a T34 at Torrey Pines, so his performance this week was a bit unexpected to say the least. He circled five birdies, without a blemish, in his opening 16 holes before giving back a stroke at the par-4 17th. He came to 18 with a chance to take it one deeper, but was only able to manage a par after finding the creek guarding the green on the par 5 with his second shot.

Martin Flores blistered Trump International Golf Club-Puerto Rico for an eagle and six birdies en route to a bogey-free, 32-32=64 in his second round of the Puerto Rico Open.
Flores opened with an even-par 72 during which he traded one birdie with one bogey. He reaches the midpoint in 8-under 136, four strokes adrift of the 36-hole clubhouse lead. Today's 64 ties his career low on the PGA TOUR (first round, 2012 Greenbrier Classic), but it's his first 64 on a par-72 layout.

Martin Flores carded a 6-under-par 33-32=65 in his opening round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, finishing five strokes back of the clubhouse lead.
Flores shared 19th place at TPC Scottsdale a year ago, so the track apparently agrees with his game. He hit 15 greens and circled an eagle and five birdies. His only conversion outside 10 feet was a birdie from 15'1" at the 14th hole. Flores' lone hiccup was a bogey-5 at 11 where his par attempt failed to drop from 44 inches.
