With a bogey-free, 6-under-par 32-34=66 at today's open qualifier at Pinnacle Country Club in Milan, Illinois, Andrew Ruthkoski earned a berth into the John Deere Classic.
Ruthkoski was the only of the four-spotters without a blemish today. He circled six birdies in regulation, and then survived a 3-for-2 playoff that eliminated Jace Long (34-32=66). Ruthkoski has cashed in three of his five career PGA TOUR starts, but hasn't pegged it in an event since missing the cut at the 2009 Buick Open. Ryan Lenahan (33-33=66; 7 birdies, 1 bogey) also survived today's playoff. At 7-under, 33-32=65, Raymond Knoll (1 eagle, 6 birdies, 1 bogey) and Armando Villarreal (8 birdies, 1 bogey) shared medalist honors. Lenahan, Knoll and Villareal will be making their PGA TOUR debuts. The field at TPC Deere Run is now complete at 156. Mon, Jul 7, 2014 05:24:00 PM
