Tom Lehman makes his 21st career start in The Open Championship and is paired the first two rounds with two-time, runner-up Bernhard Langer of Germany and 1997 champion Justin Leonard from the United States.
In his last Open start in 2013 at Muirfield, Lehman turned back the clock, if only temporarily, posting a first-round, 3-under-par 68 for shared fourth place after day one. Father time would win-out however, as he would conclude in 77-75-76 for a T58-finish. In total, the 1996 champ at Royal Lytham and St. Annes, is 13-for-20 with two top 10s, the last being a T4 in 2000. The 56-year-old went T14 in the 2010 edition at St. Andrews with a 4-under-par aggregate of 284. Lehman ranks 12th in the Charles Schwab Cup on the Champions Tour season, cashing 11 times in 11 starts with 10 top 25s, including two runner-up finishes. He's made one PGA TOUR start in 2015, missing the cut at the AT&T Pebble Beach back in February. Tue, Jul 14, 2015 10:59:00 PM
