Jeff Klauk exhausted his Major Medical Extension after sharing 71st place at the RBC Heritage.
This was our mistake. We overlooked Klauk's missed cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which deducted one start from his allotment of eight on the MME. Therefore, his appearance at Harbour Town served as the final start on it. He goes in the books having come up short of meeting its terms by $429,107 to retain status. He also fell $205,859 shy of securing conditional status. As a result, the non-winner has lost his playing privileges. Expect him to compete full-time on the Web.com Tour for the remainder of the season.

At 3-over-par 72-71-73=216, Jeff Klauk settled for a share of 71st place at the RBC Heritage.
Klauk got snipped by the 54-hole cut at Harbour Town. After starting his third round on the back side of the course, he'd eventually bogey the par-4 ninth, thus thwarting an opportunity to take it deep today. After pocketing $11,136.00 for his three-day stay, he now has one start remaining on his Major Medical Extension to earn $429,107 and retain status. If he falls short, he'd lock up conditional status for the remainder of the year with at least $205,859.

Jeff Klauk has been added to the field of this week's Arnold Palmer Invitational.
The PGA TOUR's media department reported this.
Klauk was the first alternate when the field was released on Friday afternoon. He gained entry when Kevin Na withdrew. Klauk is 3-for-6 on the season and he has just two starts remaining on his Major Medical Extension to earn $440,243 and retain status. In his only previous appearance at Bay Hill, he tied for 59th place in 2009.

Jeff Klauk completed 36 holes of the Tampa Bay Championship in 5-over-par 74-73=147 and will miss the cut.
Considering he hit only 13 greens in regulation
over two rounds
, his scores aren't too bad. Nevertheless, it comes at a potentially costly time as he's now down to two starts on his Major Medical Extension to earn $440,243 and retain status. Klauk is also $216,995 short of the threshold for conditional status.
